Pressed by hand and windmill.
17 & P Letterpress is a custom letterpress studio based in Denver, Colorado founded by husband and wife duo, Cindy and Andrés. 17 & P combines Cindy and Andrés’ backgrounds, passions and strengths; also known as what happens when a finance degree and a fine arts degree fall in love.
17 & P was born out of a love of beautiful stationery and a realization of a need for a letterpress printing company that focuses on printing for amazing designers that might not have space for a 1 ton machine in their studio. 17 & P focuses on providing a high quality product with just has high quality service to everyone.
As a letterpress printer, 17 & P is available to print for all designers as well as and help design and create custom letterpress stationery, letterpress business cards and more.
Our team.
Cindy Bastron
Cindy spent 10 years working as a luxury wedding planner in Washington, DC. This time in the wedding industry is where her love of beautiful paper began.
Cindy brings to 17 & P a business and hospitality degree, a background in small business and the most type-A personality you will ever meet. Cindy is the “business” side of 17 & P and manages the day to day operations.
Cindy also currently runs a virtual assistant business supporting creative entrepreneurs (including being 17 & P’s in-house virtual assistant) and loves nothing more than Chipotle, Disney World and Andrés.
Andrés Pardo
During Cindy’s time as a wedding planner, Andrés was exposed to the fine art of letterpress and never turned back. After the purchase of a tabletop Kelsey letterpress and a few hundred letterpress Christmas cards, Andrés took the leap to letterpress printing as a profession.
Andrés has a degree in fine arts and graphic design and has been a letterpress printer for over 5 years. In contrast to Cindy’s type-A personality, Andrés is the “laid back” side of 17 & P. He manages the creative and creation side.
Andrés loves exploring the craft beer scene of Denver, The Beatles, the Saints, the Capitals and Cindy (she may or may not have written that part).
Berkeley
Berkeley is a 1969 Heidelberg Windmill Letterpress (official name still under debate by his owners). Cindy and Andrés purchased Berkeley from a small print shop in Phoenix, AZ and they had acquired him from another printer in Berkeley, CA (hence his aforementioned debated name).
17 & P Letterpress is excited to be continuing the tradition of creating beautiful, quality letterpress with this big guy.
